
Jalandhar (The Uttam Hindu): Police are investigating the murder of Aam Aadmi Party leader Lucky Oberoi in Jalandhar from multiple angles, and suspicion has now emerged regarding the possible role of a person from the Central Town area. While no official confirmation has been made yet, sources indicate that this individual may be taken into custody soon for questioning, which could help uncover the full sequence of events linked to the case.
According to sources, the murder is being linked to student politics, and police teams are actively probing this angle. Investigators believe the suspected individual may have had prior grievances with Lucky Oberoi and could have had knowledge of the incident. However, police have not issued any formal statement confirming this connection.
Meanwhile, gangster Jogga Faujewala has claimed responsibility for Lucky Oberoi’s murder. He posted on social media alleging that Oberoi was harming their brothers and that the act was carried out in retaliation. The post further stated that the response had been delivered that day.
Police are also examining other possible motives behind the killing. It has come to light that the President of Khalsa College was also questioned in connection with the incident. The murder has been described as a major narcotics-related case, adding another serious dimension to the investigation.
After the incident, when DSP Gaurav Yadav reached the spot and questioned a narcotics trafficker about the individual who died, it was reportedly stated that all those involved had criminal records.
