Ludhiana (The Uttam Hindu): Criminals are emboldened in Ludhiana. Late last night, robbers targeted an ATM on Kailash Road in the Basti Jodhewal police station area. The criminals, who arrived in a Swift car, carried out the crime in a filmy style, uprooting the ATM's cash tray and fleeing. The incident is reported to have occurred around 2:30 am.

The ATM targeted by the robbers had its shutter open at night. Taking advantage of this, the criminals arrived in a Swift car and stormed inside. Within 15 to 20 minutes, these cunning criminals uprooted the cash tray from the ATM machine, placed it in their car, and fled. The robbers were seen fleeing towards the highway after committing the crime.

The incident came to light this morning when a passerby noticed the uprooted ATM tray. He immediately alerted nearby residents, who then informed the police. It's currently unclear how much cash the robbers took from the ATM. Police are contacting relevant bank officials to determine the exact amount stolen.

Upon receiving information about the incident, officers from the CIA, Crime Branch, and Special Cell, along with the local police, arrived at the scene and are assessing the situation. Police officers are examining footage from CCTV cameras installed inside the ATM and in the surrounding area. DVRs from neighbors have also been seized. However, senior police officials are remaining silent on this serious incident. Attempts were made to contact several senior officers over the phone to obtain information about the incident, but none answered. Police are investigating the case from various angles.
