Union Budget realises the vision of a developed India and youth aspirations: Dr. Subhash Sharma

Chandigarh(The Uttam Hindu): Punjab BJP Vice President Dr. Subhash Sharma has described the Union Budget for the financial year 2026–27, presented by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, as a budget that realises the vision of a Developed India while fulfilling the aspirations of the youth. He termed it an inclusive, balanced and forward-looking budget.
Dr. Sharma said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the NDA government is continuously steering the country on the path of sustained development. Focused on employment generation, economic growth and social security, the budget reflects the government’s strong commitment to economic sovereignty and fulfilling public aspirations. The increase in public capital expenditure to ₹12.2 lakh crore is a significant step towards building a future-ready economy.
He further stated that the emphasis on nurturing sports talent under the Khelo India Mission and granting industry status to the AVGC sector (Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming and Comics) is a commendable initiative that will create new employment opportunities for the youth. The establishment of AVGC labs in schools and colleges, along with creative technology institutions, will give a fresh impetus to India’s creative economy.
Dr. Sharma added that the budget will accelerate the nation’s growth journey while empowering the poor, women, farmers, youth and the middle class.
