Woman Kidnaps Himachal Truck Driver, Tears Clothes and Extorts Money With False Case Threat

Chandigarh (The Uttam Hindu): A shocking incident has come to light from the Kurali Bypass on the Chandigarh–Ropar Highway. A woman, along with three accomplices, allegedly kidnapped a truck driver from Himachal Pradesh and robbed him of cash, his ATM card and thousands of rupees. The accused reportedly threatened to frame him in a false rape case, drove him around for several kilometres and withdrew nearly ₹79,000 from his ATM.
The woman and her three partners were involved in the crime. According to the victim, the woman first tore her own clothes and then tore his, threatened to implicate him in a fake case and forcibly took his cash and ATM card. The victim, Jurnas Ali, managed to escape and later filed a complaint with the police.
In his statement, Ali said he was travelling in his Tata 710 truck and stopped near Kurali Bypass around 1:30 am to drink tea. At that moment, four people in a Haryana-registered WagonR arrived. They allegedly grabbed him and forced him into his own truck. They snatched his mobile phone and assaulted him. The woman among them threatened him, tore clothes, clicked photos and told him she would falsely accuse him unless he paid.
Police are now investigating the matter.
