Dubai (The Uttam Hindu) : India opener Abhishek Sharma has been rewarded for his explosive century in the third T20I against New Zealand in the latest ICC T20I rankings. Abhishek has become the world's number one T20I batsman.
Abhishek has overtaken Ishan Kishan to become the number one ranked bowler. Meanwhile, South Africa's Marco Jansen has become the world's number one bowler and all-rounder in Test cricket. Following his impressive performance in South Africa's victory in the second Test against Australia in Gqeberha, Jansen has achieved the top ranking in both categories for the first time in his career. The left-arm fast bowler scored 85 runs and took five wickets in Australia's first innings, turning the tide.
The 26-year-old Jansen has jumped 13 places to No. 56 in the Test batting rankings. He has climbed five places to overtake Australia's Mitchell Starc at the top of the Test bowling rankings, and has moved up one place to overtake India's Ravindra Jadeja in the Test all-rounder rankings.
