Another cricketer dies on field, heart attack strikes during victory celebrations

Lucknow (The Uttam Hindu) - A shocking incident occurred on Sunday in Bilari, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh. 50-year-old senior cricketer Ahmer Khan died of a heart attack while bowling during a veterans' match at the cricket ground. Ahmer Khan, a resident of Moradabad's Ekta Vihar Colony, had been involved in local and state-level cricket for a long time.
Gave victory to the team in the last over, then collapsed on the ground.
In the last over of the match, the opposing team needed 18 runs to win. Ahmer Khan gave only 5 runs with his brilliant bowling and led the team to victory by 13 runs. Players and spectators were celebrating the victory when suddenly Ahmer collapsed on the ground. Fellow players Dr. Ankit Verma and Dr. Farhan Khan immediately tried to save him by giving CPR, but his condition did not improve. He was first taken to a private hospital, then to CHC Bilari, where doctors declared him dead.
Ahmer Khan, who played alongside renowned players like Piyush Chawla,
was a senior state-level player of his time. He played cricket for a long time with Delhi's Suhani Club and several teams in Uttar Pradesh. He also shared the field with Indian spinner Piyush Chawla on several occasions. The news of his passing sent shockwaves through the sports world.
Ahmer Khan, who worked for
a pharmaceutical company, was working as a medical representative (MR). He had been playing cricket regularly for about 10 years. Upon receiving news of his death, crowds gathered at the ground and hospital. SP MLA Haji Mohammad Faheem Irfan, SDM Vinay Kumar Singh, and local sports fans arrived at the hospital. Ahmer is survived by his wife and two children.
