New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu) - In the second match of the 5-match T20 series between India and South Africa, Arshdeep Singh bowled a 13-ball over and during this period he bowled a total of 7 wide balls, seeing which coach Gambhir himself looked surprised and the pictures went viral on social media.

In this match, Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav won the toss and elected to bowl first, a decision the Indian bowlers failed to justify. Fast bowler Arshdeep Singh had a particularly poor performance with the ball, bowling a total of 13 balls in his one over, placing himself on the poor list.

Arshdeep Singh bowled a total of 7 balls in his over.

In the second T20I against South Africa, Arshdeep Singh bowled a total of 2 overs in the first 6 overs, conceding only 20 runs but failing to take a wicket. Captain Suryakumar Yadav then brought him back to bowl in the 11th over of the South African innings, which proved to be a nightmare for Arshdeep. In this over, Arshdeep Singh completely lost his line and length, bowling 7 wides, resulting in a total of 13 balls in the over. Arshdeep conceded a total of 18 runs in this over, making him a part of a list no bowler would want to be on. Arshdeep Singh has now become India's bowler with the most number of balls bowled in an over in T20Is, and among full-member teams, he has also equaled Afghanistan's Naveen Ul Haq. Haq bowled a total of 13 balls in a T20 match against Zimbabwe in the year 2024.
