Asia cup 2025: Sanju and Kuldeep to face Pakistan in T20 for the first time today

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Five Indian players will play a T20 International match against Pakistan for the first time today in the India-Pakistan mega match of Asia Cup 2025. Despite being experienced, some of these players will face this arch-rival team for the first time in the T20 format, including big names like Sanju Samson and Kuldeep Yadav.

Sanju Samson

Wicketkeeper batsman Sanju Samson, who made his T20I debut in 2015, has played 43 T20I matches for India so far, but he has not got a chance to play against Pakistan till date.

Abhishek Sharma

the opener famous for his explosive batting and ranked first in the ICC T20 rankings, will also play his first T20I match against Pakistan today.

Kuldeep Yadav

Team India's experienced spinner Kuldeep Yadav has experience of 41 T20I matches, but he too has not played any T20I match against Pakistan yet.

Shubman Gill

Indian Test team captain and T20 vice-captain Shubman Gill has performed brilliantly against Pakistan in the ODI format, but he will also get a chance to face Pakistan for the first time in T20I today.

Tilak Verma

the middle-order batsman ranked second in the current T20I rankings, will also play a match against Pakistan for the first time. He has experience of playing 4 ODIs and 26 T20Is.
