BCCI Likely to Take Big Decision on Gautam Gambhir and 3 Support Staff Members: Report

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): After the Manchester Test draw, the score of the five-match series is currently 1-2. Meanwhile, a report has surfaced claiming that the BCCI may soon take a big decision on Team India's support staff. According to the information, considering the team's performance on the England tour, the BCCI may take a decision on three people including head coach Gautam Gambhir after the Asia Cup 2025 and before the Test series against the West Indies starting in October.
BCCI can take a big decision on Gautam Gambhir and 3 other support staff members, revealed in a report: According to a report in 'The Telegraph', apart from Gambhir, the list also includes the names of bowling coach Morne Morkel and fielding coach Ryan Descotto. The board believes that during Morkel's tenure, the expected improvement in Indian bowling has not happened, while Descotto's effect was not visible in fielding either. In such a situation, both of them can be removed. It is worth noting that both Morkel and Descotto joined the team on Gambhir's recommendation.
The report also said that Gautam Gambhir can be given a chance for now so that he can take the team out of the current phase of change. Also, BCCI's attitude can also be strict towards the selection committee. It is believed that the board can also take action against Chief Selector Ajit Agarkar and Selector Shiv Sundar Das.
