ED Grills Yuvraj, Harbhajan, Raina And One More Actress Questioned for Endorsing Dubious Betting Apps

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Tightening the legal grip on illegal online betting apps, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has also started investigating the advertisements of cricketers Harbhajan Singh, Suresh Raina, Yuvraj Singh and actress Urvashi Rautela. Some other celebrities including them have also been questioned. This questioning is in connection with the promotion of the banned platform 1X Bet.

Sources said these platforms were using 'representative names' like '1xbet', which included web links and QR codes that redirected users to illegal betting platforms and this is a blatant violation of existing laws. ED officials said that these platforms often promote themselves by claiming to be skill-based games, but their results depend on luck. Fraudulent algorithms are used in this. This is a form of gambling under Indian law.
