Ahmedabad (The Uttam Hindu) - The final match of the T20 series between India and South Africa was played at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Friday. All-rounder Hardik Pandya emerged as the match-winner for India. With his explosive half-century, Hardik led India to the title victory. Hardik hit a series of big shots during his innings, including one that landed directly on the cameraman's shoulder. If the ball had hit above the shoulder, the cameraman could have been in trouble.

Hardik Pandya met the cameraman, inquired about his well-being, hugged him and tried to ease his pain. He also placed ice on the cameraman's shoulder. The BCCI shared the video on social media.

The BCCI shared a video of the incident. In the video, Hardik Pandya said, "I hit a very straight shot, which landed directly on his shoulder. I was very worried. God was with me that the ball didn't go higher. There must be some swelling on his shoulder, but he is also fortunate that the ball didn't hit higher. I went to meet him and apologize. I have always seen him around me for the last 10 years of my career. I just wanted to see him stay fit. I am happy that the ball didn't hit a sensitive area and that he is fit." In the video, the cameraman showed the victory sign and said with a smile, "The ball hit the shoulder. If it had hit a little higher, it would have been a problem. For now, everything is fine."

Hardik Pandya batted explosively in this match, scoring a half-century in 16 balls and 63 runs in 25 balls, hitting 5 sixes and 5 fours. Thanks to Hardik's innings, India scored 231 runs for 5 wickets. South Africa could only score 201 runs for 8 wickets and lost the match by 30 runs. Hardik was named the Man of the Match. India won the 5-match T20 series 3-1. Varun Chakravarthy, who took 10 wickets in the series, was named Player of the Series.
