New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): The International Cricket Council has released the latest ICC T20I Rankings, bringing several notable changes in the shortest format of the game. Indian wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan has made a strong move by entering the top 10, leaping 17 places to secure the 8th position.

Meanwhile, despite being dismissed for zero in a recent match against the USA, India’s Abhishek Sharma continues to hold the number one spot in the T20I batting rankings with 891 rating points.

Nissanka and Tilak Varma shine in batting rankings

In the updated batting chart, Abhishek Sharma remains at the top, followed by England’s Phil Salt in second place. Sri Lanka’s Pathum Nissanka, after a brilliant century against Australia, has climbed three spots to reach third position.

India’s rising star Tilak Varma holds fourth place. Pakistan’s Sahibzada Farhan slipped two places to fifth, while India’s Suryakumar Yadav is sixth. England’s Jos Buttler dropped three places to seventh. New Zealand’s Tim Seifert is ninth, and Australia’s Travis Head completes the top ten.

Varun Chakravarthy leads bowlers, Brad Evans surprises

In the bowling rankings, India’s mystery spinner Varun Chakravarthy continues to dominate at number one. Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan has moved up to second place, followed by Abrar Ahmed in third and England’s Adil Rashid in fourth.

Zimbabwe’s Brad Evans made the biggest jump, climbing ten places to reach fifth. Wanindu Hasaranga is sixth, Jacob Duffy seventh, Adam Zampa eighth, Mustafizur Rahman ninth, and Mohammad Nawaz tenth.

Sam Ayub tops all-rounders, Hardik Pandya third

In the T20I all-rounders’ list, Sam Ayub rose to the top, overtaking Sikandar Raza to become the world’s number one all-rounder. India’s Hardik Pandya holds third place. Nepal’s Dipendra Singh Airee moved up two spots to fourth after a strong performance against Scotland, while Afghanistan’s Azmatullah Omarzai is fifth.
