London (The Uttam Hindu): The fourth Test match is being played between India and England in Manchester. Former opener Shikhar Dhawan is hopeful that despite falling behind in the series, Team India can still turn the tables.

England won the first match of the series by five wickets, after which Team India equalized the series by winning the second Test by 336 runs.

India had a chance to take the lead in the series by winning the third match, but here Team India had to face a close defeat by 22 runs. Now the visiting team will have to win both the remaining matches to win the series.

Shikhar Dhawan feels India can win the series. The former cricketer told IANS, "The Indian team showed great spirit on the England tour. This is a young team. Winning the second match after losing the first match was a great performance. I think the Indian team is playing great cricket. Of course, England is ahead 2-1 at the moment, but I am sure the Indian team will perform brilliantly. It can turn the tables."

Talking about the fourth Test match being played at Old Trafford ground, India has scored 264 runs after losing four wickets till the end of the first day.

Yashasvi Jaiswal and KL Rahul gave Team India a great start. There was a partnership of 94 runs for the first wicket between the two. KL Rahul returned to the pavilion after scoring 46 runs, while Jaiswal returned after scoring 58 runs.

India lost the wicket of captain Shubman Gill (12) along with the openers at a score of 140. From here, Sai Sudarshan took charge of the team.

Sai Sudarshan scored 61 runs in 151 balls with the help of seven fours, while Rishabh Pant retired hurt on 37 runs. At the end of the day, Ravindra Jadeja and Shardul Thakur were unbeaten on 19 runs each.

For England, skipper Ben Stokes has taken two wickets, while Chris Woakes and Liam Dawson have taken one wicket each.
