Women's World Cup 2025: India Names Squad, Shefali Verma Left Out

Mumbai (The Uttam Hindu): The Indian women's team has been announced for the ODI series against Australia along with the Women's World Cup 2025. Shefali Verma could not make it to the 15-member Indian team for the World Cup. Team India is led by Harmanpreet Kaur, while Smriti Mandhana will be the vice-captain.
Due to their excellent performance, Pratika Rawal and Harleen Deol have got a place in the World Cup team. Apart from them, Renuka Singh has also managed to make a place in the team. The selectors have also given a chance to Kranti Gaur and Shri Charani in this team, who performed brilliantly in the limited overs series against England.
Wicketkeeper-batsman Yastika Bhatia may not have made it to the ODI team against Australia, but she has been given a place in the World Cup team. The three-match ODI series between India and Australia will start from September 14. The first match will be played in New Chandigarh. The next match will be played at the same venue on September 17. On September 20, both the teams will face each other in Delhi. After this, the World Cup will start from September 30. India will face Sri Lanka on the very first day.
