Johannesburg (The Uttam Hindu): An interesting glimpse of how serious Indian cricket team's veteran batsman Rohit Sharma has become about his fitness these days was seen after the series against South Africa ended. After retiring from Test and T20 cricket, Rohit Sharma, who is now completely focused on ODI cricket, has adopted a strict attitude regarding his diet. Recently, during the victory celebrations at the team hotel, when an attempt was made to feed him cake, he refused in a funny manner, the video of which is now rapidly going viral on social media.

In the viral video, Team India was celebrating the series win at the hotel after the third ODI. During this, young star Yashasvi Jaiswal was seen cutting a cake. Yashasvi first offered a piece of the cake to Virat Kohli, who ate it. But as Yashasvi moved towards Rohit Sharma with the cake, the 'Hitman' immediately refused to eat it. Rohit stopped Yashasvi and said, "I'll get fat again. I don't want it, brother." Hearing Rohit's response, all the players present there, including Virat Kohli, burst out laughing.

Rohit's attitude shows how seriously he's taking past criticism about his fitness. It's worth noting that Rohit has faced numerous trolls and critics over his weight and fitness issues in the recent past. However, since leaving Test cricket, he has worked hard on his fitness. The results were clearly visible in his explosive batting and fielding during the Australian tour and now in the series against South Africa. Currently, Rohit's "no cake" video has become a topic of discussion among fans.
