India's daughters Creat history, defeated England 2-1 in the ODI series

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): The Indian women's cricket team has created history by winning the ODI series against England 2-1. Team India won the third ODI match played in Chester-le-Street by 13 runs. This is the first time that the Indian women's team has won both the limited overs series on the same tour of England. Before the ODI series, the Indian team had won the five-match T20 series against England 3-2.
Apart from England, the Indian women's team has achieved this feat against three countries on foreign soil. In 2018, India won the ODI series against South Africa 2-1 and the T20 series 3-1. In the same year, Team India won the ODI series against Sri Lanka 2-1 and the T20 series 4-0.
In 2019, the Indian women's team won the ODI series against West Indies by 2-1. At the same time, they clean swept the T20 series by 5-0. India won the T20 series 2-1 after clean sweeping the ODI series 3-0 against Sri Lanka on its soil in 2022. Talking about this match, after winning the toss and batting first, the Indian team scored 318 runs for the loss of five wickets with the help of captain Harmanpreet Kaur's century.
Pratika Rawal and Smriti Mandhana gave the team a great start. There was a partnership of 64 runs between the two. Pratika returned to the pavilion after scoring 26, while Mandhana returned after scoring 45 runs. After the openers returned to the pavilion, the captain scored 81 runs for the third wicket with Harleen Deol. Deol scored 45 runs in 65 balls. Harmanpreet Kaur added 110 runs for the fourth wicket with Jemima Rodriguez to take India to a huge score. Jemima added 50 runs to the team's account, while Kaur scored 102 runs in 84 balls with the help of 14 fours.
From the opposition side, Lauren Bell, Lauren Filer, Charlie Dean, Sophie Ecclestone and Linsey Smith took one wicket each. In response, England were all out for 305 runs in 49.5 overs. The team had lost the wickets of both the openers by the score of eight. From here, Emma Lamb raised the hopes of the team by adding 162 runs for the third wicket with captain Natalia-Sciver-Brunt.
Lamb scored 68 runs in 81 balls, while Brunt scored 98 runs in 105 balls with 11 fours. Apart from these, Alice Richards scored 44, while Sophia Dunkley scored 34 runs, but could not make the team win. For India, Kranti Gaud took the maximum six wickets in 52 balls, while Shri Charani took two wickets. Apart from these, Deepti Sharma got one wicket.
