30 Kids rush to hospital after eating poisonous wild seeds mistaken for peanuts

Shravasti (The Uttam Hindu): The health of 30 children in Shravasti district, Uttar Pradesh, deteriorated after they accidentally ate poisonous wild seeds, mistaking them for peanuts. All the children were rushed to the district hospital, where the condition of 10 children remains critical.
This incident occurred in Keshavpur village, located in Bhinga, Shravasti. According to reports, the children had gone for an evening stroll through the fields of a forested area. There, they stumbled upon "Ran ke Beej" (a poisonous wild seed). Inadvertently, the children mistook these seeds for peanuts and ate them. They had no idea how dangerous these seeds could be.
Late at night, after eating the seeds, all the children's health suddenly deteriorated. Seeing their health deteriorate, their families panicked. One by one, the family members took all the children to the emergency ward of the district hospital.
Upon receiving information that 30 children had simultaneously fallen ill, a team of doctors immediately began treatment. After treatment, the condition of 20 children improved slightly, but the condition of 10 remained critical until late at night. Currently, all children are undergoing treatment at the hospital.
Dr. M.M. Sonkar, who was present in the emergency room, said that all the children had consumed some poisonous substance, which has caused their condition to deteriorate. All the children are under strict medical supervision and their treatment is ongoing.
