Nagpur (The Uttam Hindu): A terrible accident occurred in Maharashtra's Nagpur district on Sunday. At least 15 people were killed in an explosion at an explosives factory in Katol tehsil of Nagpur district. Many people are seriously injured. Police said that 15 people have been killed in the explosion at the explosives factory.
According to reports, the explosion occurred at the factory of SBL Energy Limited, a mining and industrial explosives company, in Raulgaon, Katol tehsil. News agency PTI quoted SBL Energy Limited representatives as saying that the incident occurred between 7 a.m. and 7:15 a.m. at the company's detonator packing unit.
Police said the injured were admitted to a hospital in Nagpur immediately after the explosion. The Superintendent of Police, Nagpur Rural, stated that 15 people were killed and 18 seriously injured in the explosion at SBL Energy Limited. A company official stated that rescue operations were underway and they would issue a statement soon.
