Boyfriend kills girlfriend's 1-year-old son, kidnapped from crèche, strangled in auto-rickshaw
Panchkula (The Uttam Hindu): A case that shames love and humanity has come to light from Panchkula, Haryana. Due to illicit relations, a man brutally murdered his girlfriend's innocent one-year-old son. The horror of this incident can be gauged from the fact that the child's first birthday was celebrated just three days ago. The accused did not like his girlfriend having a child, so he hatched a conspiracy and first kidnapped the child from a crèche (day-care center) and then strangled him to death in an auto. The police have arrested the accused and the child's body has been recovered from the bushes.
The innocent child was becoming an obstacle in love, hence the conspiracy
Police investigation has revealed that a woman from Derabassi was having an affair with a young man from Pinjore. Whenever the woman went to meet her boyfriend, she would take her son Reyansh with her. The accused did not like the presence of the child with his girlfriend and considered him an obstacle in their relationship. For this reason, he hatched a horrific plan to eliminate the child. The accused himself had advised the woman to put the child in a crèche so that they could spend time alone. About 15 days ago, the cunning accused had even gone with the woman to the crèche in Sector 12A and conducted a recce of the place.
He took her away posing as her father and then murdered her
According to the plan, the woman enrolled the child for the first time yesterday (January 24) at a crèche in Sector 12A. However, shortly thereafter, at around 11 a.m., the accused arrived. He lied to the crèche operator, claiming he was the child's father and had come to pick him up. The operator called the child's mother to confirm, but the phone was switched off. Trusting him, the operator handed the child over to the accused. The accused took the child from the crèche and left for Pinjore in an auto. When the child began crying for his mother on the way, the accused, enraged, strangled him in the moving auto. After the murder, he stuffed the body into a sack and threw it in the bushes near the Sukhomajri bypass.
The accused is repeatedly changing his statement in police custody
ASI Praveen, the ANC team in-charge, stated that the accused has been arrested and confessed to the crime during initial interrogation. However, he has repeatedly changed his statements in police custody. Sometimes he says he killed the child because he was angry at the child's crying, and sometimes he says he wanted to get rid of the woman and kidnapped the child to scare her. Police will present the accused in court and take him on remand to uncover the true motive behind the murder and the full extent of the conspiracy. Police stated that an affair between the accused and the deceased's mother has been confirmed.
