Defence Minister's security guard's son stabbed dead at Mumbai's Malad station after train dispute

Mumbai (The Uttam Hindu): A journey on the local train, considered the lifeline of Mumbai, proved to be the last journey for a teacher on Saturday night. A minor dispute while getting off the train on platform number 1 of Mumbai's very busy Malad railway station took such a serious turn that a young man was stabbed to death. The deceased has been identified as Alok Kumar Singh, a mathematics teacher by profession. This incident happened between 9 and 10 pm on Saturday night, which has shaken the entire station premises.
Alok was the son of Defence Minister Rajnath Singh's security guard
Police investigations have revealed crucial information regarding the identity of the deceased. Alok Kumar Singh taught mathematics at a college in Vile Parle and was the son of a security guard for Defense Minister Rajnath Singh. According to reports, Alok was traveling to Malad by local train after finishing work in Vile Parle. As the train stopped at Malad station and he was about to disembark, he got into an argument with two other passengers over boarding and deboarding. This minor altercation quickly escalated into a violent altercation, and an enraged man pulled out a sharp weapon and stabbed Alok in the stomach. He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, but the injuries were so severe that he succumbed to his injuries.
Identified through CCTV, one accused arrested from Vasai
Following the murder, the Railway Police and local police immediately swung into action. Borivali Railway Police registered a case and examined CCTV footage from the station, identifying the accused. The Railway Police and the Mumbai Police's GRP conducted a joint operation and arrested one of the accused in the Vasai area late last night. The arrested accused has been identified as 27-year-old Omkar Shinde, a resident of Malad East. Police are interrogating him rigorously and are continuing raids to search for his other accomplices involved in the crime.
