Jhansi (The Uttam Hindu): A particularly tragic and shocking incident has emerged from Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh. Just ten months after his marriage, a 22-year-old man consumed poison under suspicious circumstances. Just before taking this horrific step, the man had spoken to his wife and in-laws via video call. Upon receiving information about the incident, police arrived at the scene, took possession of the body, and sent it for post-mortem examination. The family is deeply shocked by the sudden death of their young son.
The wife was not ready to return from her parents' house, there was a dispute at her in-laws' house
According to reports, the deceased has been identified as Ashish Ahirwar. Ashish was originally from Mamora village, under the Jiron police station area of Niwari district in Madhya Pradesh, and was the eldest of two brothers. Ashish's maternal uncle, Ramsevak, stated that he had raised and educated Ashish since childhood. About ten months ago, Ashish was married to Nidhi, a resident of Pasrai village, under the Mauranipur police station area of Jhansi district. Initially, everything was normal, but after Holi, Nidhi went to her parents' home and never returned. Two days ago, when Ashish went to his in-laws' house to see her off, their in-laws flatly refused to accept her, leading to a heated argument between the two sides.
Deadly step taken after video call
The family told the police that on the 8th, Ashish spoke with his wife Nidhi and his in-laws via video call. It's unclear what transpired during this conversation, but Ashish consumed poison immediately after the call ended. Seeing his condition worsen, the alarmed family rushed him to Jhansi Medical College. Doctors there tried their best to save him, but Ashish died during treatment. The family is devastated by the loss of their young son. Uncle Ramsevak is inconsolable, saying that if Ashish had shared his plight, they would have done everything possible to save him.
Police initiated legal action
Regarding this matter, Medical College Police Outpost in-charge Mohit Rana stated that the police have taken the body into custody, filed a Panchnama, and the post-mortem process has been completed.
