Farrukhabad (The Uttam Hindu): A very painful and disturbing incident has come to light from Farrukhabad city of Uttar Pradesh. Here, a 75-year-old man, who had gone to get a gas cylinder for his home, died of a heart attack while standing in line. A video of this tragic incident is also rapidly going viral on social media, in which two young men are seen taking turns administering CPR to the elderly man lying unconscious on the ground to save his life. After this incident, there was chaos in the family of the deceased and a wave of mourning spread in the area.
The elderly man went out to buy gas at 6:30 a.m. and his health deteriorated at 9 a.m
Giving details of the incident, Shahnawaz, the deceased's son, a resident of Garhi Khan Khana locality, said that his 75-year-old father, Mukhtar Ansari, left home around 6:30 a.m. to buy a gas cylinder. Due to the crowd at the gas agency, he waited in line for his turn. He had been waiting in line for quite some time when, around 9 p.m., he suddenly felt a sharp pain in his chest. Before anyone could understand, he fainted and fell to the ground. Seeing his father's condition worsen, Shamshad and other locals quickly placed him in an e-rickshaw and took him to a private cardiologist's hospital in Awas Vikas.
Viral video shows man giving CPR, doctor declares him dead
The video that surfaced on social media is said to be from near a gas agency. The video clearly shows the elderly man falling unconscious and the people present there trying their best to save him. Two young men are continuously pressing on his chest and performing CPR to try to revive him. However, when he was taken to the hospital, cardiologist Dr. Udayraj Singh declared him dead after examination. According to doctors, the elderly man died of a heart attack.
The day before, he had got the slip cut from the agency
Mohammad Basir, nephew of deceased Mukhtar Ansari, explained the incident. His uncle had run out of gas at home. So, a day earlier, his uncle had gone to the gas agency and obtained a receipt. The agency had promised to deliver the cylinder the next day. Therefore, early the next morning, his uncle went to the agency to collect the cylinder. While standing in line, his health suddenly deteriorated, leading to the tragic incident. Upon arrival at the hospital, doctors declared him dead, leaving his family inconsolable.
