Gwalior (The Uttam Hindu): A very unique and interesting case has come to light in the Gwalior High Court of Madhya Pradesh. Here a 19 year old married woman has flatly refused to live with her 40 year old husband. The girl argued in the court that there is a huge age difference of 21 years between her and her husband, due to which there is no harmony between them. In the court, the girl expressed her desire to go with her lover, which was accepted by the court and gave a historic decision and allowed her to live with her boyfriend. However, for security reasons, the court has also given special instructions to monitor her for 6 months.

The husband had appealed, the whole truth came out in the court

Actually, this entire matter is related to a habeas corpus petition. The girl's husband, Awadhesh, through his lawyer Suresh Pal Singh Gurjar, filed a petition in the High Court alleging that a young man named Anuj Kumar was illegally holding his wife hostage. Acting on this, the police sent the woman to a One Stop Center. When the hearing of this case began before the division bench of Justice Anand Pathak and Justice Pushpendra Yadav in the Gwalior bench of the Madhya Pradesh High Court, the woman, her parents, husband Awadhesh, and lover Anuj were present in the court.

The huge age gap and bad behavior became the reason for separation

During the hearing, when the judges asked the girl about her wishes, she presented her case boldly. She stated clearly that she was an adult, living on her own, and not under any illegal bond. The girl flatly refused to go with both her parents and her husband. She told the court that she was only 19 years old, while her husband was 40. Due to the 21-year age difference, they never got along, and she was also treated unfairly by her in-laws. Even after counseling by public prosecutor Anjali Gyanani, the girl remained firm and reiterated her desire to live with her boyfriend, Anuj.

Shaurya Didi will keep an eye on the girl's safety for 6 months

On the other hand, Anuj's boyfriend also assured the court that he would take good care of the girl and not allow her to suffer any kind of harassment. Considering all these circumstances and the girl's insistence, the High Court concluded that the petition no longer had any merit. The court allowed the adult girl to leave with her boyfriend. Additionally, to ensure her safety, the court appointed public prosecutor Anjali Gyanani and female constable Bhavana as "Shaurya Didi" for the next six months. They will remain in constant contact with the girl, monitoring her safety, well-being, and guiding her. Following the completion of the necessary formalities, the girl was ordered to leave the One Stop Center with her boyfriend.
