Lamborghini crash: Tobacco tycoon's son gets bail hours after arrest, 4 days after Kanpur hit

Kanpur (The Uttam Hindu): The city's notorious and high-profile Lamborghini accident case took a dramatic turn on Thursday. Police arrested Shivam Mishra, the main accused in the accident and son of prominent tobacco businessman KK Mishra. However, he was granted bail by the court just hours after his arrest. In total, the accused remained in police custody for approximately seven hours. Police had been searching for the accused since the incident on Sunday.
The accused arrived in court in a sick condition
After his arrest, when the police took Shivam Mishra to court, he appeared very ill. He had a Vigo (cannula for drips) in his hand and was unable to walk properly. Policemen and his relatives supported him to the courtroom. It is reported that a family doctor from Delhi was also present with Shivam. The court granted him bail after hearing the case.
Police had formed 5 teams, arrests were made from Kanpur
DCP Central Atul Kumar Srivastava stated that the police deployed all their efforts to arrest the accused, and five special teams were formed. Police received information from an informant that Shivam Mishra was in Kanpur. Acting immediately on this information, the teams laid a siege and arrested him. He was subsequently produced in court to complete the legal process.
What was the whole matter?
The entire incident occurred on Sunday afternoon, when a speeding Lamborghini car wreaked havoc on VIP Road in the Gwaltoli area. The out-of-control car first hit an autorickshaw and then a Bullet rider, before climbing onto the footpath. Four people were injured in the accident. According to eyewitnesses, immediately after the accident, security personnel in another car following the Lamborghini attempted to pull the driver out, which caused widespread anger among those present at the scene. The crowd broke the car's window and pulled the driver out.

After the accident, the defense argued that the driver had suddenly suffered a seizure and lost control of the car. However, the police investigation so far has revealed that Shivam Mishra was driving the car at the time of the accident. The police say that the investigation is ongoing and further action will be taken based on the evidence.
