Mamata Banerjee rushes to IPAC chief's house amid ED raids, accuses centre of political vendetta

Kolkata (The Uttam Hindu): Political temperature reached the seventh sky in Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal, today when the Enforcement Directorate (ED) started raiding the premises of IPAC chief Prateek Jain. Amidst this action, the gravity of the matter increased further when Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee herself reached Prateek Jain's residence. According to sources, this ED raid is related to a case of alleged financial irregularities. Teams of the investigating agency are simultaneously present at Prateek Jain's house and office, where intensive scrutiny of documents and other legal procedures are being carried out.
The most surprising turn of events was Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's arrival at the raid site. Banerjee went directly to the site where the ED team was investigating, creating a highly sensitive atmosphere. According to political analysts, the Chief Minister's arrival in the middle of the investigation is being seen as a strong political message against the actions of the central agencies.
It's worth noting that tensions have long existed between the central government and the Mamata Banerjee government over the actions of central agencies (ED and CBI) in West Bengal. Mamata Banerjee has previously alleged that the central government is using the agencies to intimidate the opposition.
