Minda Corporation and Toyodenso Launch Joint Venture to Boost Automotive Switch Production

Noida (The Uttam Hindu): Today, the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority handed over the Letter of Intent for a 7-acre plot in Sector 8D to M/s Spark Minda Toyodenso India Private Limited. The document was presented by the Authority's Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Rakesh Kumar Singh, and Additional Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Shailendra Kumar Bhatia, to the company's Executive Directors, Mr. Ashok Das and Mr. Piyush Goyal. Mr. Amit Jalan, Head (Corporate Affairs) at the Minda Group, was also present on this occasion.

It is noteworthy that, under the Investment Promotion Policy of the Government of Uttar Pradesh, the company has been granted a subsidy incentive by virtue of being a Fortune 500 company. Through this project, M/s Spark Minda Toyodenso India Private Limited will manufacture approximately 2,000,000 units of switches, sensors, and other related auto-switch systems. The company is set to invest approximately ₹220 crore in this project. The establishment of this project will create numerous direct and indirect employment opportunities within the region.

It is further informed that Minda Corporation Limited—a company within the Spark Minda Group—currently operates a total of 27 manufacturing units across the globe, including locations in India, Vietnam, Italy, Japan, and Indonesia. Globally, the company is active in the fields of Mechatronics, Information & Connected Systems, Plastics & Interiors, Aftermarket Products, as well as Electric Vehicles and Electronics. The company has also established Research and Development (R&D) centers in Pune and Bengaluru.
