
Patna (The Uttam Hindu) : Nishant Kumar, son of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, began his political career on Sunday by joining the Janata Dal United. Nishant joined the JDU at a ceremony held at the JDU office in Patna.
After accepting the JDU membership, he said, "I will try to live up to the trust you have placed in me." He was administered the membership by the party's National Executive President Sanjay Kumar Jha and Union Minister Lallan Singh. Several senior party leaders, including Ministers Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Shravan Kumar, Bijendra Yadav, and Ramnath Thakur, were present on the occasion.
Nishant also said that his father, Nitish Kumar, has decided to enter the Rajya Sabha, which is his personal decision, and he accepts and respects it. He also said that he will all work under the guidance of his father, Nitish Kumar. He also said that he will work to strengthen the organization as per the wishes of party workers. He will try to spread the work his father has done in Bihar to the people and will strive to make a place in their hearts.
He said, "Everyone will remember what my father has done in the past 20 years. The people of Bihar are proud of what he has done in those 20 years. All of you keep your spirits up."
Speculation about Nishant's entry into politics has been circulating for quite some time. From senior JDU leaders to ordinary workers, everyone has been calling for Nishant's entry into politics. There is immense enthusiasm among party leaders and workers about his entry into politics. During this time, workers continued to raise slogans in support of Nishant and Nitish Kumar. Sitting on the stage, Nishant accepted the greetings of all the workers with folded hands.
Nishant was given a warm welcome by party workers upon his arrival. Slogans like "Jai Nitish, Jai Nishant," and "If Nishant is there, we are at peace," echoed both inside and outside the office. Party workers are also demanding greater responsibility for him within the party. There are also calls for Nishant to be appointed Chief Minister. Following Nitish Kumar's Rajya Sabha nomination, Nishant's entry into active politics is considered crucial for the state's political future.
