Shocking Abuse in Odisha: Husband Drags Wife by Hair, Parades Her Semi-Naked

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): A shameful incident has come to light in Puri, Odisha, where a man attacked his wife and a young man with a hammer on suspicion of illicit relations. After which the man paraded both of them on the streets in a semi-naked state.

Giving information, the police said that the 37-year-old teacher was living separately from her 43-year-old husband for a long time. The attacker is a commerce lecturer in an institute in Jagatsinghpur district. The woman was living separately from her husband due to a complaint of domestic violence, along with her 14-year-old son, in a rented house in Puri district.

On Tuesday, the lecturer and one of his friends suddenly arrived at the woman's house. On finding the woman and another man in the house, they attacked them, in which both have suffered serious injuries. The police said that after the attack, the accused tore the clothes of both. After this, he dragged the woman by her hair. Both of them together garlanded the woman and that man. Also, the man also made the woman apply sindoor in the woman's maang. At present, the police have arrested the accused and action is underway.
