Tirupati temple tangle: Drunk devotee goes viral, refuses to descend until demands met

Tirupati (The Uttam Hindu): A shocking incident has come to light in the famous Sri Govindarajaswamy temple located in the religious city of Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh. Here, a man, under the influence of alcohol, created a scene like the movie 'Sholay' in the temple premises. Breaking the security cordon, this man climbed to the top of the main gopuram (peak) of the temple and started creating a ruckus there. When the police and fire brigade team reached to bring him down, he put a condition that "Bring me a quarter of alcohol, only then I will come down."
He entered by jumping over the wall and tried to uproot the urn
The temple was closed at the time of the incident. It is reported that the accused entered the temple premises by scaling a wall. By the time the TTD Vigilance Department became aware of the incident, he had already reached the top of the main gopuram. Furthermore, in an inebriated state, he attempted to uproot the sacred urn placed on the top, leaving the people standing below and the administration stunned.
The drama lasted for 3 hours, the police took him down by pretending to be drunk
Upon receiving the information, teams from the Tirupati East Police and Fire Department arrived at the scene. The rescue operation lasted approximately three hours to safely bring the accused down. Police officers climbed the metal ladder to the summit and tried to reason with him.
