New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Women often feel hesitant in sharing their mobile number while recharging it at public places or retail shops. There is always a fear of privacy leak and unwanted calls due to giving one's personal number to unknown people. To end this big problem of women forever, the government telecom company Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has taken a great initiative. On the special occasion of International Women's Day on March 8, BSNL has launched a new and secure service named 'Kavach Number', which claims to keep the personal number of women completely confidential.

How will this 'Kavach Number' facility of BSNL work?

The main goal of this new service from BSNL is to make women's privacy more secure and convenient. Under this facility, the company will provide women with a temporary (alternate) 10-digit number via SMS. This new number will be directly linked to their actual mobile number. Now, whenever a woman goes to a shop or retail store to recharge her phone, she will not need to tell the shopkeeper her real number. She will be able to recharge her phone securely by simply providing this 'Kavach number' received via SMS.

The real number will be completely safe, take advantage like this

This "Kavach Number" will truly act as a powerful shield for women's privacy. For women who still prefer offline or retail store recharges over digital payments, this service will prove extremely useful. Recharges can be completed without sharing your personal number, and the number will remain completely secure. To take advantage of this remarkable feature or learn more about it, BSNL customers can use the BSNL Self Care App or the company's official website.
