CTI opposes Sanchar Saathi app amid 10-fold surge in downloads

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu) : The Sanchar Saathi App has come into full discussion. Amidst protests and support, the app's download graph is rapidly rising. The app's downloads have increased 10-fold in a single day. Even before the order was issued, 15 million people had downloaded the Sanchar Saathi App, and now this number is rapidly increasing. All new mobile phones will have the Sanchar Saathi App preinstalled. In devices already in the market, the app will be installed through an OS software update.

Meanwhile, Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia clarified that keeping or removing the app is entirely up to users. The department also reiterated that this requirement applies only to mobile manufacturers, and there is no pressure on ordinary citizens.

Meanwhile, a controversy is brewing over the Sanchar Saathi app. Opposition protests are also being witnessed. Now, the trade union CTI has also registered its protest and has written a letter to Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia.
