Grandson's tech savvy saves the day: GPS tracker in necklace leads family to missing grandmother

Mumbai (The Uttam Hindu): A family in Mumbai used technological acumen to find their missing elderly member in a filmy style. A 79-year-old woman, who was out for an evening walk in South Mumbai, suddenly went missing, causing panic in the family. However, the foresight of her grandson, who had already fitted a small GPS tracker to his grandmother's necklace, came in handy. Using this device, the family located her exact location within a short time.
According to reports, on December 3rd, this elderly woman, Saira B. Tajuddin Mulla, was walking in the Sewri area when she was struck by a two-wheeler. Following the accident, locals, showing compassion, immediately admitted the injured elderly woman to the hospital for treatment. When the grandmother did not return home for a long time and night began to deepen, the family became worried and feared something untoward had happened.
Amidst this panic, grandson Mohammad Wasim Ayub Mulla showed wisdom and began tracking the GPS device attached to his grandmother's necklace on his mobile phone. The tracker showed her location at KEM Hospital in Parel, about 5 kilometers from home. Upon finding the location, the entire family immediately rushed to the hospital, where they found her injured. The family heaved a sigh of relief due to the timely discovery made through technology, and later had her shifted to another hospital for better treatment.
