New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu) : The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) is gearing up to host the India AI Impact Summit 2026, scheduled to be held from February 15-20, 2026. This summit is considered a major global platform on Artificial Intelligence (AI), bringing together leaders, policymakers, innovators, and AI experts from around the world in New Delhi.

The NDMC aims to showcase New Delhi internationally as a modern, clean, and technologically capable capital through this summit. Extensive infrastructure, cleaning, lighting, and beautification work is underway throughout the NDMC area to create the experience of a G-20-level event.

Special attention to roads and key areas

Roads connecting the airport, Bharat Mandapam, major hotels, diplomatic areas, and tourist destinations are being repaired. Pothole filling, pavement improvements, signage upgrades, central verge painting, and road safety enhancements are progressing rapidly. There is a particular focus on the areas surrounding Bharat Mandapam, where the main opening ceremony of the Summit will take place on February 19th.

Cleaning and Beautification Drives

NDMC has launched an intensive cleaning drive in all 14 circles under "Operation Clean." Mechanical sweeping, washing, and special drives are being conducted daily in major markets and streets. The Horticulture Department has been directed to beautify the city with flowers and ornamental plants at roundabouts and public places.

Emphasis on improving air quality:

Smog guns, mist sprayers, and water sprinklers are being installed to maintain air quality during the AI ​​Summit. Strict action is being taken against polluters.

During the Public Participation and Special Events

Summit, from February 16 to 20, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology will set up interactive stalls of AI companies in the Central Park of Connaught Place, where common people will also be able to get acquainted with AI technology.

Improved amenities and security

are being implemented, including road and sidewalk maintenance, 100% street lighting, overhead cable removal, and decorative lighting. A dedicated control room, nodal officers, and coordination with security agencies are ensuring smooth traffic and parking. The NDMC says that through these efforts, New Delhi will not only maintain G20 standards but will also strongly showcase the country's technological capabilities, innovation, and global leadership during the India AI Impact Summit 2026.
