New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): There was a commotion at Delhi Airport on Tuesday when a bomb threat was received against IndiGo flight 6E 762, flying from Mumbai to Delhi. The threat was received around 8 am. Following the information, Delhi Airport heightened vigilance and strictly adhered to all security measures during the plane's landing. However, no suspicious object was found during the inspection.

The flight was carrying approximately 200 passengers. Immediately after receiving the threat, a full emergency was declared at Delhi Airport. Airport officials and security agencies made all necessary security arrangements and prepared for the plane's safe landing. However, upon investigation, it was determined that the threat was non-specific, meaning it did not clearly indicate any specific threat. Despite this, security agencies followed full protocol to avoid any lapses. Upon landing at Delhi Airport, all passengers were disembarked and the plane was thoroughly searched. Passenger luggage was also thoroughly checked. Security at the airport was increased until the investigation was completed.

An IndiGo spokesperson said, "A security threat was observed on IndiGo flight 6E 762 from Mumbai to Delhi. Following established protocols, we immediately informed the relevant authorities and fully cooperated with them in conducting the necessary security checks before allowing the aircraft to depart. We have made every effort to minimize the inconvenience to our passengers, including providing refreshments and sharing regular updates. As always, the safety of our passengers, pilots, and aircraft is our top priority."
