New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Several changes to regulations will come into effect on Sunday , March 1st. These changes will directly impact the common man. Yes, starting March 1st, important rules related to online ticket booking, UPI, SIM binding, LPG, CNG, and PNG will change. Let's learn about the new changes that will take effect on March 1st.


Starting Sunday, March 1st, the rules for booking general class and platform tickets online will change. Rail passengers will no longer be able to book general class or platform tickets through the Indian Railways UTS app. General and platform tickets can now be booked online only through the RailOne mobile app.


To make UPI transactions more secure, the government is implementing new rules starting March 1st. Under the new rules, the UPI PIN alone will no longer be sufficient for large transactions. Starting March 1st, transferring large amounts via UPI will require biometrics or multi-factor authentication, along with the UPI PIN.


To curb cyber fraud or digital fraud, the government is going to implement a new rule of SIM binding from March 1. Under the new rules, messaging apps like WhatsApp, Telegram and Signal will now be directly linked with your SIM card. If you remove the SIM from your mobile phone, these messaging apps will stop working with immediate effect. After removing the SIM from the mobile, these apps will not work on any kind of Wi-Fi network or hotspot. Oil marketing companies reduce or increase the prices of LPG, CNG, PNG, ATF on the first of every month as per the need. Hence, changes can be made in the prices of these fuels on March 1 as well.
