Raipur (The Uttam Hindu): Flight operations at Raipur's Swami Vivekananda Airport hit a snag on Thursday morning due to a navigation system malfunction. The technical glitch led to multiple flight cancellations, leaving passengers scrambling to adjust their travel plans.
Airport Director's Statement
"We're working diligently to resolve the issue," said KK Lahre, Airport Director. "Due to a technical glitch in the navigation system, flight operations have been affected."
Passenger Inconvenience
Shantanu Chakraborthy, a passenger, shared his frustrating experience. "My flight was scheduled to take off at 7:55 am, but I was informed about the cancellation at midnight. Now, I'll reach Kolkata by 1 am instead of 9:25 am."
Possible Cause
According to reports, a lightning strike damaged the DVOR navigation system at the airport, causing the disruptions. The airport authorities are working to repair the system as soon as possible.

Passengers are advised to check with their respective airlines for updates on flight departures and arrivals. The airport is expected to resume normal operations once the navigation system is fixed.
