USISPF hosts India leadership summit 2024 to foster economic and tech collaboration

New Delhi (Uttam Hindu News) : The US-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF) is set to host its annual 'India Leadership Summit 2024' in the national capital on October 14, aiming to enhance bilateral trade, supply chains, semiconductor investment, artificial intelligence, and next-generation technologies. This summit follows Prime Minister Narendra Modi's recent successful visit to the US for the Quad Leaders' Summit and the United Nations General Assembly, further emphasizing the growing collaboration between the two nations.
The day-long summit will also focus on bolstering defense ties, promoting clean energy initiatives, and ensuring a free and open Indo-Pacific region. John Chambers, Chairman of USISPF, expressed excitement about the potential opportunities, stating, "This is India's century, and I am excited about the possibilities that lie ahead as we work closely with Indian leaders to build a shared and prosperous future for both nations." The summit is positioned as a vital platform to strengthen the dynamic strategic partnership between Washington and New Delhi.
According to a USISPF statement, the summit will feature sessions with key leaders, including Union Ministers Piyush Goyal, Dharmendra Pradhan, and Jyotiraditya Scindia. Mukesh Aghi, President and CEO of USISPF, emphasized the summit's role in fostering meaningful dialogue between industry and government leaders from both countries. He stated that the aim is to deepen economic ties and explore collaborative solutions to strengthen the strategic partnership. The summit will also discuss strategies to fortify India’s manufacturing economy as both nations collaborate on rebuilding and realigning global supply chains.
