Air Marshal AK Bharti Asserts: 'Our Battle Is Against Terrorism, Not Pakistan's Military; They Are Accountable for the Consequences'

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): After the ceasefire between India and Pakistan, a press briefing was held by the DGs of the three armies on Monday afternoon. During this, while giving information about Operation Sindoor, Air Marshal AK Bharti said that it is sad that the Pakistani army chose to intervene for the terrorists and so we decided to respond. He said that our fight is with the terrorists and their supporting structure, not with the Pakistani army.
AK Bharti said that our weapons stood the test of time. Our indigenous air defense system 'Akash' is working well. DGMO Lieutenant Rajiv Ghai said that the character of terrorist activities has changed in the last few years. Innocent civilians were being attacked. Pakistan's cup of sins is full. Air Marshal Bharti said, "Our fight is with the terrorists. Our fight is not with the Pakistani military. When the Pakistani army supported the terrorists, we responded to it."
Air Marshal AK Bharti said, “…our battle-proven systems have stood the test of time and have stood up to them. Another highlight has been the stellar performance of the indigenous air defence system, Akash system. Creating and implementing a powerful AD environment has only been possible due to the budgetary and policy support received from the Government of India over the last decade.”
Air Marshal AK Bharti said during the press brief, “Yesterday we talked about the successful demolition of terrorist infrastructure in PoK and Pakistan. Our fight is only against terrorism and we targeted the infrastructure of terrorists but the Pakistan military thought it right to support the terrorists and made it their fight. In this situation, our retaliation was necessary and they are responsible for whatever loss they suffered in this.”
