New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Tensions between Iran and Israel are increasing. America carried out air strikes on Iran's three major nuclear sites Fordo, Natanz and Esfahan. After this attack, Prime Minister Narendra Modi talked to Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian and expressed deep concern about the regional tension. He said that we have discussed the current situation in detail.

PM Modi shared this information by sharing a post on social media platform X on Sunday. He wrote, "Talked to Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian. We discussed the current situation in detail. Also expressed deep concern over recent tense incidents. I reiterated our appeal for immediate de-escalation, resuming the path of dialogue and diplomacy, and early restoration of regional peace, security and stability."

The US attacked Iran's three major nuclear sites, Fordo, Natanz, and Esfahan, at 4:30 am on Sunday, Indian time.

After this attack, US President Donald Trump claimed that Iran has been working against America for the last 40 years. Donald Trump said that the purpose behind the attack was to destroy Iran's nuclear enrichment capacity.

At the same time, after the US air strike, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has confirmed that Iran fired more than 30 ballistic missiles on Israel on Sunday morning. Many major cities including Tel Aviv, Haifa and Jerusalem were targeted in Iran's attacks.

According to local media, several explosions were heard in Tel Aviv and Haifa as Israel's defense system tried to intercept incoming projectiles. "The Israeli military has detected another series of Iranian missiles headed towards Israel," the IDF said in a statement.
