Chhattisgarh Erupts: Over 25 Maoists Killed in Fierce Jungle Gunbattle

Narayanpur (The Uttam Hindu): A major operation by security forces against Maoists is currently underway in Narayanpur district of Chhattisgarh. According to reports, the security forces have surrounded a large group of Maoists. There are reports that more than 25 Maoists have been killed in the ongoing firing since the morning. However, no official statement has been released yet regarding this action.

The encounter is taking place in the Jatloor area of Abujhmad. Only preliminary information about the encounter has come to light so far. Security forces are believed to have achieved a significant success in the operation. According to Narayanpur SP Prabhat Kumar, following intelligence about the presence of senior cadres from the Maoists’ Maad Division, an operation was launched in Abujhmad involving DRG teams from Narayanpur, Dantewada, Bijapur, and Kondagaon. The encounter has been ongoing since Wednesday morning.
