Terror Panic in Delhi: Bomb Threat Emails Target Top Schools, Students Evacuated

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Panic gripped the national capital on Monday morning after multiple prestigious schools, including Delhi Public School (Dwarka), Shriram World School, and Modern School, received bomb threat emails.
As soon as the threats were reported, Delhi Police, Bomb Disposal Squad, and Fire Department teams rushed to the schools and launched an intensive search operation. All students were safely evacuated and sent home as a precautionary measure.
According to police, the threats were sent from a single email ID, claiming that multiple explosives had been planted in classrooms, hidden in black plastic bags. Security agencies carried out thorough inspections, but no suspicious objects were found so far.
Officials recalled that this is not the first such incident in Delhi. Earlier on July 18, over 45 schools and three colleges received similar threat emails, which later turned out to be hoaxes. In fact, Delhi-NCR has witnessed repeated bomb hoaxes this year, targeting schools, colleges, and even airports.
Despite past threats being false alarms, police said they are treating today’s incident with “full seriousness.” The Cyber Cell is investigating the source of the email while parents and students remain anxious about the frequent recurrence of such threats.
