New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has issued summons to former cricketers Yuvraj Singh and Robin Uthappa, along with Bollywood actor Sonu Sood, for questioning in connection with the illegal betting app 1xBet case. They have been called on separate dates — some on September 23 and others on September 24, officials confirmed.

The ED is probing their alleged links in a money laundering case tied to the online betting platform 1xBet. The company is accused of defrauding people and investors of crores of rupees and committing large-scale tax evasion.

Earlier, the federal agency had also questioned former Indian cricketers Suresh Raina and Shikhar Dhawan in the same case.

1xBet, which claims to be a globally recognized bookmaker, has been in the betting industry for the past 18 years. The platform allows customers to place bets on thousands of sporting events worldwide. Its website and app are available in over 70 languages. However, authorities allege that the platform is being misused for illegal betting and money laundering in India.
