New Delhi(The Uttam Hindu): Despite strong opposition, the Election Commission of India (ECI) has announced that an intensive revision of the voter list will be carried out across the country.
The ECI clarified that the decision, issued on June 24, is part of its constitutional duty to ensure the integrity and security of the electoral rolls. While protests erupted in Bihar over the ongoing voter list revision, the commission stated that this process will now be implemented nationwide, and a detailed schedule will be released soon.
