Faridabad (The Uttam Hindu): Haryana Police has made a major breakthrough in the firing incident outside YouTuber and Bigg Boss winner Elvish Yadav’s house. The police have arrested one of the prime accused shooters, identified as Ishant alias Ishu Gandhi, a resident of Jawahar Colony, Faridabad.

According to officials, the arrest took place on Friday morning when the Crime Branch team of Sector 30, Faridabad, cornered Ishu Gandhi near Faridpur village. In an attempt to escape, Ishu opened fire on the police team with an automatic pistol, firing more than six rounds. In retaliation, the police fired back, injuring him in the leg. The accused was immediately taken to the hospital for treatment and then placed under arrest.

The case relates to the August 17th firing incident outside Elvish Yadav’s residence in Sector 56, Gurugram. Three shooters were allegedly involved, one of them being Ishu Gandhi. The attack was later claimed by the notorious ‘Bhau Gang’, led by gangsters Neeraj Faridpuriya and Bhau Ritolia, who posted on social media taking responsibility for the firing.

The ‘Bhau Gang’ is infamous in Haryana and Punjab for extortion, threats, contract killings, and murders. Gang leader Neeraj Faridpuriya, originally from Palwal, Haryana, has multiple criminal cases of murder and extortion. He was sentenced to life imprisonment in 2015 but managed to secure bail and fled abroad, where he continues to operate his criminal network. The police are now intensifying efforts to nab the remaining shooters and further investigate the gang’s involvement in this high-profile attack.
