Chandigarh (The Uttam Hindu): The United Kisan Morcha (SKM) called an all-party meeting on Friday at Kisan Bhawan on four issues including land pooling policy, water agreement and free trade agreement. The farmers have announced a long battle against land pooling and free trade agreement. On this occasion, the farmers have also announced a tractor march on July 30.

Leaders of 10 political parties attended the meeting, but no leader from the ruling Aam Aadmi Party came. Farmer leaders said that AAP state president Aman Arora was invited at his home, but his not coming is sad. Farmers said that nothing is clear in the policy. It is written in the policy that charges will be collected from the farmers whose land will be acquired for further development. Apart from this, there are many conditions, due to which the farmer will himself be robbed by giving it to the government. The government is not making anything clear. At the same time, in the areas where the land is to be acquired, registration etc. has already been stopped there. Corporate houses are benefiting from this law.

Many agendas were passed in the meeting. Farmers said that the government should cancel the notification of land pooling policy. Farming and related businesses should be kept out of the free trade agreement. Along with this, he said that 25-year-old agreements should be canceled. Also, sections 76 to 80 should also be canceled and this should be told to the Government of India. He said that the Punjab government should implement new farming. He said that suggestions have been taken from all political parties, but political people will not come to our stage.
