5 of Family Returning from Swimming Dead: Unknown Vehicle Rams Bike, 4 Children Among Victims
Hapur (The Uttam Hindu): In Uttar Pradesh’s Hapur district, an unknown vehicle collided forcefully with a motorcycle carrying several people, resulting in the death of everyone on board — including four children. According to reports, all the victims were returning home after swimming when the accident occurred, plunging their families into grief. The tragic incident took place on the National Highway in the jurisdiction of Hafizpur police station. After the crash, all victims were rushed to a hospital, where doctors declared them dead.
Police officials arrived at the hospital to gather information about the accident. The deceased were then sent for autopsy at the government hospital. It is reported that immediately after the incident, the victims were first taken to a private hospital, but police later ensured that their bodies were moved for post-mortem examination.
The deceased have been identified as Danish (36), Mahira (6), Samaira (5, daughter of Danish), Samar (8), and Mahim (8). The five were traveling on a single motorcycle to the village of Mithepur in Gulawathi. They had gone swimming at an orchard pool and were returning around 10:30 p.m. when a canter truck rammed into their bike in the Hafizpur area.
The collision was so severe that all five victims died instantly on the spot. Hafizpur SHO Ashish Pundeer raised the possibility that Danish, who was riding the bike, might have been intoxicated, leading him to lose control. However, confirmation awaits the post-mortem report. Meanwhile, a police team is investigating the incident at the site.
