Family Performing Ashes Ritual in Haridwar Dies in Road Accident, 7 Family Members Including Children Dead

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): A tragic road accident in Jaipur, Rajasthan, claimed the lives of seven members of the same family, including two children, on Saturday.

According to police, the family was returning from Haridwar after performing the ritual of ashes immersion when their car lost control and overturned on the Vatika Ring Road in Jaipur. The impact of the crash was so severe that all passengers were killed on the spot.

The victims have been identified as Ramraj Vaishnav, his wife Madhu, and son Rudra, along with relatives Kaluram, his wife Seema, their son Rohit, and Gajraj. All were residents of Phuliyawas Kekri and Vatika, Jaipur.

Eyewitnesses said the accident scene was filled with chaos and screams as locals rushed to help. Police from Shivdaspura police station quickly reached the site and, with the help of ambulances, shifted the victims to Mahatma Gandhi Hospital. Chaksu ACP Surendra Singh and Station House Officer Surendra Kumar Saini confirmed the casualties and said the car had overturned after the driver lost control at high speed. The accident has left the entire area in shock as the victims were returning from a religious journey.
