New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Former badminton star Jwala Gutta, who became a mother in April this year, is making headlines for her noble gesture. After breastfeeding her daughter, Jwala has been donating her excess breast milk to help newborns in need.

So far, the sports icon has donated 30 liters of breast milk to a government hospital. In a heartfelt social media post, Jwala wrote: “Breast milk saves lives. If you donate it, you can be a hero to a family.”

Jwala, married to actor Vishnu Vishal, welcomed their daughter Meera on April 22, which also marked their fourth wedding anniversary. The couple shared their joy with fans on social media.

Her initiative aims to support motherless infants and premature or critically ill babies who rely on donor milk for survival. Reports suggest Jwala has been donating regularly for the past four months, setting an example for new mothers across the country.
