India a Powerhouse of Talent, Soon to Be World’s Third-Largest Economy: PM Modi in Tokyo

Tokyo/New Delhi(The Uttam Hindu): Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Japan on a two-day visit and received a warm welcome in Tokyo. On the first day of his trip, PM Modi joined Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba at the India-Japan Economic Forum, ahead of the 15th Annual India-Japan Summit.

Addressing the forum, PM Modi highlighted the transformation India has undergone in the past 11 years. He said, “Today’s India is a powerhouse of talent… and is on its way to becoming the world’s third-largest economy.” Modi urged global investors to see India as the best destination for investment, citing political stability, economic growth, policy transparency, and strong decision-making as key advantages.

He further noted that India is opening new sectors such as nuclear energy and strengthening global partnerships. “India and Japan are better partners in every field. From metros to manufacturing, semiconductors to startups, Japan has always been a vital part of India’s growth journey,” Modi said.

PM Modi also emphasized Japan’s massive investment in India, stating that Japanese companies have invested over $40 billion in various sectors. He reaffirmed that the partnership between India and Japan stands as a symbol of trust and mutual growth.
