New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): An important meeting of the Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) was held on Sunday. An important resolution was passed in this meeting, praising the bravery of the Indian armed forces and the efficient leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi during 'Operation Sindoor'.

The issue of caste census was also discussed extensively during the meeting. All the leaders present welcomed the decision of the Central Government to conduct caste census in the upcoming census.

According to sources, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, who is also a Shiv Sena leader, presented a resolution in this regard. The resolution said that 'Operation Sindoor' has boosted the confidence of the citizens of the country. It praised Prime Minister Modi and said that he has always strongly supported the Indian Army. This operation has given a befitting reply to the terrorists and those who support them.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National President JP Nadda also attended this one-day conference. About 19 Chief Ministers and as many Deputy Chief Ministers attended the meeting.

The meeting was organised by the BJP. The party said that apart from caste census, important topics like the first anniversary of the third term of the Modi government and good governance were also discussed in the conference. A large part of the discussion focused on the best policies and actions being adopted by various NDA ruled states. During this, many Chief Ministers presented the major schemes of their respective states.

In the meeting, tributes were also paid to those who lost their lives in the unfortunate terrorist attack in Pahalgam on 22nd April.
